I’m happy to answer any questions you may have

I am an experienced and qualified teacher with over 15 years experience in working with children.

I work in an individualised way that meets the needs of each child. I don’t just follow a program, I tailor each session to suit exactly what that child needs.

My sessions are playful, multisensory and impactful. We learn best when we are relaxed and comfortable.

I work in a neuro-affirming way. I have both professional and lived experience in working with neurodivergent children and respect their sensory and learning needs. I celebrate their special skills, interests and talents.

I work with children and include them in decision making and problem solving.

I have specialised training in teaching children with dyslexia and have been working in this field for more than 5 years.

All session fees include at least 20 mins of planning time and resources. New clients are charged a once off $30 administration and resources fee.

-One to one tutoring sessions are $100/hour

I recommend at least an hour per week but some students, particularly younger students can benefit from shorter 45 minute sessions.

-One to one 45 min sessions are $75.

-Two student groups - $80/hour

The Playberry Program I use for dyslexia intervention actually benefits from students working in groups of 2. Each child still gets individual attention each session and they also get to know they are not alone and have some healthy competition. I pair students with someone who I know they will work well with and have a beginning session alone with them so I can get to know them and they can feel comfortable.

Payment is due the day of the session either by bank transfer, cash or card (there is a $2 card fee).

If children are sick I generally do not charge a cancellation fee as I want your child to be at their best when they attend. However if there are more than 3 sessions missed in a term a cancellation fee of half of your session cost will be charged to keep your child’s space.

I work with parents as they are their child’s first teacher and know their child best.

It is important that we are a team to help your child get the most out of their educational therapy.

I have a Bachelor of Visual arts and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning.

I have certificates in the Playberry Multisensory Program:

I have a current Working With Children Check

I have a current Reporting Abuse and Neglect certificate

I have current Child Protection Curriculum Training

I have also attended numerous professional development trainings around Neurodivergent learners, learning disabilities and literacy and maths programs.
